Why did my proposal get rejected? Event Planner, Marie Herman, reveals what you may be doing wrong.

After receiving a number of grateful remarks for her insights in our LinkedIn discussion group we decided to invite event planner, Marie Herman, on SpeakerMatch Radio. Marie Herman, CIWD, ATM-S, MCAS has over twenty years of experience as an Event Planner, Administrative Professional and Efficiency Consultant. Having an incurable desire to help others (or perhaps an inability to say no), Marie often volunteers to chair or organize meetings and events. Marie has booked hundreds of speakers during her career from events as small as 10 attendees to as large as 2000+ with budgets ranging from non-existent to thousands of dollars. Marie is serving as the 2010-2011 Vice President of the Illinois Division of the International Association of Administrative Professionals. She is also a member of Toastmasters and the National Association of Parliamentarians. She was honored to be the recipient of the DeskDemon Management Support Fellowship Award as well as numerous other awards and honors during her career.

Meeting Planner Reveals How Speakers Can Avoid 'Reject' Pile.

Today’s call is going to be a little different then usual. Our guest on today's program is Jason Fluck, a meeting planner, who has utilized SpeakerMatch to find speakers on two occasions. With that, Jason has come away with some interesting observations and insights into how speakers can avoid being thrown into the “reject” pile.

Jason Fluck is the owner of On Trac Productions, a Pennsylvania based business who works hand and hand with school based organizations to plan special events such as fundraisers, assemblies, and graduation ceremonies.
